Orange you glad??

My nails for the next few days...

I was going for a gradient effect but it didnt came out exactly gradient. lol.
Though when i look at it, it somehow does, just dont stare at it or else youll see its just pretending to be gradient!! hihi.

I got these polishes from Watsons few months ago.

Bobbie Premium Nail Creme Glaze in I DO
*forgot the price but definitely less than P40 (less than $1)
such a cute name for a polish!

Sassy Colors in FIRE OPAL P13 only!!

*This is a steal for me because even if i didnt get the effect I was looking for, I liked the texture of the polish. I want to use it again soon as the main color! Applies easily! Would have to make swatches for this, only downside is, I have a feeling the color chips easily. But for P13?? good enough for me :)

So what I did was apply 2 coats of Bobbie Glaze I Do. Then the Sassy Color's Fire Opal onto 1/3 of the nails. Since I was going for gradient, I wanted the orange polish to be a bit sticky to have that effect but turns out this polish is very concentrated and it applied evenly over the first polish.
What I did was, while its not yet dry, I applied another coat of Bobbie Glaze I Do to give me the effect I want and hoalah! Gradient-gradientan. hehe.

I used Konad m3 plate to add the white and red flower designs. I had a hard time using Konad's red special polish. For some reason, it wont stick properly to the stamper unlike the white polish. I dont know why. *Molla Molla*.

Added rhinestones on some nails for "arte' effect.

Even though I had a hard time doing this because of the stamping part, Im quite satisfied with the results. I like looking at them now!

PrettyNails Nail Art Pens!

Today, I met up with Nikki of Askmewhats for my PrettyNails order!
These are what I got from her...

12pieces 2way nail art pens. you can use these either as a nail art brush or as a nail art pen/dotter. pretty convenient right? ^_^
Price P850 (approx $19)

Rhinestone wheel Price P250 (approx $6)

She even got me a freebie! NYX eyeshadow in Tropical

I adore Nikki's nail arts. She got me inspired to go back to doing nail art and I've been wanting to purchase these pens. Unfortunately, she's out of stock of the 24pieces pack so before the 12pcs run out, i already got mine!

I played with it a bit but I didnt use it yet because I have another nail art on mind which I did earlier. But Im pretty sure these are good products!

If interested, just go to www.prettynails.multiply.com ^_^

Also got these polishes from The Face Shop Price P95 (approx $2)
BL606 and WH004
The clear one is so cute with all the glitters and stars.
Its like the body glitters from Barbie I had when I was young with the stars and butterflies.
pretty noh?

And because my nail polishes wont fit in the clear box i got from Japan Home, I got another one!
I still cant fit them properly in an organized way but at least they'll be well kept :)

The new one!

There's my nail stickers, new nail art pens, TFS, etude house and LA Colors polishes

This the old one with my local polishes, mostly Caronia and Bobbie and some polishes from Canada (my grandma and aunties bring loooots of em when they visit)

Im supposed to post the nail art I did earlier but Ill do it tomorrow instead because I have to prepare for work now *yawns* LOL.

Sunny San Juan

Its a hotta hotta summer!
If you're in the Philippines, you are also experiencing the burning heat of summer like me.
And what other way to beat the heat but to hit the beach!

One of my cousins is here on a vacation from Dubai and she set up a swimming day at San Juan last Sunday. We didnt go to the posh resorts as this was all expense paid by my cousin and she's on a budget! (I've only been to San Juan once before, we stayed at the Blue Coral ) ^_^ I didnt get to take a picture of the cottage but its big enough for 20 (P2000-P3000) if for just the day. Its got bamboo tables and a huge bamboo bed. There were a lot of kids/babies in the family so the bed was useful for the kids' naptime.

It was super hot I didnt want to go out of the cottage but when my cousin said we'll go do a photoshoot around the beach..I cant say no!

So with my beach hat (P40..less than $1)..we went on a stroll along the beach.

Our cousins came along so it ended up as a photoshoot of ourselves! LOL.

We're planning to hit Puerto Galera or Enchanted Kingdom this weekend, but Im not sure yet because I havent been feeling well the past few days. Body and stomach ache. I got a mild fever yesterday, luckily it subsided after getting myself some medicine and a decent sleep.

That's it for now. I gotta take my rest, it'll be busy at work tonight, definitely need lots of Zzzss..

Starry Starry Nails

First Konad attempt.

stuff used:
LA Colors Color Craze Power Outage
The Face Shop top coat
Konad m3 plate
Konad white polish

I got the Konad stamping set over the weekend and I was very excited to use it. I got the set with the m3 plate because first, i like stars!, second, its got pretty simple designs and because its my first plate, i dont want to have much complications over my nails ;p

I had a hard time applying the colors mainly because the room I was in wasnt well ventilated . I was also in a hurry,I dont know why! Maybe because the instruction says I need to stamp it quickly, so I was doing everything fast?! LOL. By the way, some stars arent complete stars as I might have missed a stem or two, Ha!
looks red in the photo but Power Outage is a dark fuschia/magenta color with glitters. I have yet to learn the proper lighting and taking pictures of my nails.

Ill keep in mind to try something daring for my nails next time. My nail arts are always simple and safe it bores me when i look at it now. $(' _ ')$

Weekend Haul

I enjoy reading others hauls.. hauls makes me happy!
This is my first haul post..should be exciting :)

Last Saturday, I went to Market Market to checkout the counter of LA Colors.
I was supposed to get a couple of nail art pens, unfortunately, there were only 3 or should i say 2 colors left (green, orange and green with glitters). You'd think Id get the green and the orange for variety. Well...I got both greens. Lol. I love greens (except veggies ;p )

Twas fun to travel around the city that day since most people are hitting the beaches due to the Holy Week. No traffic!!! ^_____^
Went to Robinsons Galleria, St. Franics Square and Megamall. All these malls in 4 hours or less!

Ended up with these....Elf Brightening Eye Color in Ivy, Elf EyePrimer and Liner Sealer, Elf WaterProof Eyeliner Pen, LA Colors Art Deco mint green & the green glitter, LA Colors Color Craze Power Outage and Electric Charge, LA Colors Nail Laquer Flashy Fuschia, LA Colors Eyeliners in blue, apple green and mahogany, a nail dot stick, a nail art brush, Konad stamping set, Maybelline Clear Smooth Minerals Foundation, headbands, a mini notepad.

Oooooppsss. Now that Ive listed it, its a loooooot considering Im a cheapo. I buy these cheap stuff but end up with a big bill because I end up buying a lot!! I am again reminded to bring someone when shopping else the haul everytime i go out. hahahaha. My card company is happy again but my pocket isnt! Though, Ive been lemming for most of these and I got them listed somewhere so either I buy them all at the same time or one by one which I think is the same! Still, I gotta stay away from malls this week. O_o

Anyway, I've tried most of these (I cant help it!) and so far Im liking all of it except the Elf Waterproof Eyeliner Pen. It maybe waterproof but it aint oilproof! My eyelids ate most of it within 2 hours. (No, I didnt use the primer because I was in a hurry) Ill try with the primer next time. I wasnt expecting much from this anyway because its only P129.75. I just wanted to see if Ill find it easier to apply. Im currently using Stila Smudgepot which stays on the whole day but Im not good at applying it, it flakes on me too. Maybe I need to practice more. Not really sure.
Okay, Im blabbing away, I gotta stop.

Ill leave you with this picture of the fish! Got this last night from Bibliarch. The fish is cute, but the it was the stars that got me! It even matches my nails ^___^

Hope everyone had a fun, relaxing weekend!!

Etude Love.

What's in the bag???
It's Etude House GR605 and GR601 with nail stickrs

And this are my Etude Nails.

Right. right. These nails are from weeks ago and Im just posting em now which explains the twice in a day nail post. Three if I get to take a picture of my current nails which I did a few hours ago today.

Ive been keeping the pictures for posting thats why they're here now v^___^v

stuff used:
Etude House GR601
Etude House Nail Stickers
Dashing Diva nail paint
The Face Shop top coat

The Etude House polishes are very creamy and runny. I had a hard time applying them and since I used two coats like I always do, it ended up really thick. But I love the colors so I still love them!

Etude House is a Korean brand endorsed by Park Shine Hye (You're Beautiful) and Lee Min Ho (Boys over Flowers). Obviously, Im into Kdramas. ^__^

Are you lovin anything Korean??

muchlove,

Jen

Nail it!

Whoopie! First post. O_o

As this is my first post for this blog, Im a post my first nail art! ^__^v

Now dont expect too much because first Im a newbie, second I dont have steady hands, third..nuf with the excuses. okay just lemme show you the picture. lol.

By the way, my fingers are all small and im tan and I do household chores that why my digits arent all princessy and stuff. ;p

Ive loved nail polish ever since I can remember and I did nail art when I was in highschool (used regular polishes, twas pretty hard to make 'em flowers). I kinda sticked to just the basic polish when I...got older ^_^

2 months ago, i was browsing the web for reviews about Stila's cherry crush and bumped into Askmewhats blog (Hi Nikki!). She's got all these tutorials for nail arts and i was inspired! Thus the hands on the photo above.

stuff used:

The Face Shop PP404
Dashing Diva nail paint D08 (white)
Dashing Diva nail paint G13 (red)
The Face Shop top coat
for the dots: i just used the tip of the metal pusher ^_^
*not sure if the number for DashingD is for the color. but i cant find anything else so.. :)

This is a very simple nail art with lines and dots. I didnt want to make it too colorful or too extravagant looking.

I've been following lots of beauty bloggers for the past months browsing, reading and just learning. Now, I may not be much of help but somehow I want to give back what these blogs have shared to me. *sobsob* ;p
