Hungry for the Hunger Games Trilogy!

I am freaking our right now. I just learned that The Hunger Games trilogy is already available in a boxes set at National Bookstore!! Why only now????

I already have the first book which is Hunger Games in paperback and I have been patientlyyyy waiting for the paperback versions of Catching Fire and Mockingjay which are still not available as of this writing.

This news excites and upsets me at the same time. Excites because its an effin complete set available and within my reach! Upsets because since I already have Hunger Games, I dont want to end up with 2 copies of the same book. Not practical at all. :(

So unless I go gaga when I see the set at the bookstore and succumb to buying the whole set.. Id prefer, while on my normal state of mind, to wait for the individual paperback copies..sigh..

I love tshirts. During lazy days (which is almost everyday), i resort to just wearing Tshirts and jeans/leggings. I go for comfort most times. Luckily, our office allows casual wear, all day everyday! As for the leggings, i adore them. Leggings are one of my faves because they're super duper easy to wear. Unlike my struggle when wearing jeans. *_*

I mentally took note to check on the net if there are also malls in the US named Greenbelt and Rockwell because the singer doesnt sound local..and then the song went "I gotta make you my Filipina Queen lady".

That's the only time I realized it's talking about us, Filipinas! :)

Very butter like (creamy).

Definitely smells like lemons (I got addicted to the smell the 1st week of usage. I was smelling my cuticles like crazy @_@)

A bit oily.

50g tub is too big. I dont think you'll use that much on your cuticles until the best before end date, usually just over by a year.. unless you religiously apply it. which is probably why they encourage its use on other parts of the body :)

I apply this on to my cuticles on both hands and feet before I go to sleep (just when i remember to do so..I have a hate and love relationship with "maintenance" and consistency) and everytime it gives me soft cuticles by the time i wake up. It does soften the cuticles and makes your nails looks like its been cleaned by nail technicians (manikutistas ^_^). For someone like me who prefers cleaning my own nails but is not that good YET in doing it, this is a very good alternative. No need to cut those nasty cuticles since I can just make them soft and make them look like they're gone. Hehe.

I put some of the butter on this smaller container which I bring to the office. I sometimes apply it while at the office. Just make sure to wipe your hands off the extra product else your keyboard will be shiny!

I've had this for a few months now...got stocked in the drawers, but only because its been soooo hot during the summer and I didnt want to put anything on my skin! (yes, even lotion..which is sad..i hate dry skin)

Since the weather has been better for the past weeks, I am now back to using my ignored stash and this tub is on the top of the list.

I've been using it on my knees and elbows too! A bit oily but tolerable.

I am thinking this is the "sosyal" and packaged version of the scrubbing of calamansi on those dark areas we want to lighten.

TIP: Make sure to check the BEST BEFORE date before buying. Choose the one which has the farthest best before date just like when buying food. Mine was the last in stock and I didn't want to leave the store without this in my hands. If I wasnt so "atat" I couldve gotten the freshly delivered products, I'd just have to wait for the store to send me a text message once its available.

Currently, I still have a lot of product left and it's best before September only so I am GENEROUSLY applying it everytime I get the chance ;p

I learned my lesson. The next purchase I did at Lush, I made sure I checked the date ^_^

Silvery Pink Nails :)

The other day I was supposed to go buy more of the Caress nail polish I used on my previous gray nail post. Unfortunately, I passed by The Face Shop first and saw these so I got them instead.

I think this is a new line of their polishes. Different bottle.

Closer look at the color. yum purple! No swatch for this one yet.

The Dashing Diva in red I have is a striper, I just used a dotting tool to make the center of the flower. (I left the red Pretty Nails Nail Art Pen at my other house). Anyway, these are my nails for the past days. It's the 3rd day on this picture.

I am recently too stressed and busy with work that I dont have much time for my nails. My nails were bare for a few days until yesterday I decided to put on some color.

I dropped by the department store to buy toiletries and when I passed by the nail colors section, I cant help but look at them :) I didnt plan on buying any polish because I have a lot which I barely use. But..feeling all stressed out..I wanted to buy something just for the heck of buying something! Talk about needing some serious retail therapy. Luckily, I got a good grip on controlling myself so I only bought this one! (But I'm already planning on getting some more from this brand since they're cheap and is of good quality!)

This is 3coats. Formulation is not sticky. A bit watery if I may say. 1st coat comes out really light, 2nd is okay but I wanted it really gray hence the 3rd coat. Topped with The Face Shop TopCoat.

Came out really pretty. I like this brand it's cheap, got a wide variety of colors and easy to apply!

*not sure if this is supposed to be Gray instead of Gay! I'll check it out next time on the other bottles. If it is then this must be one happy diamond!

It's crazy that I dont know how to properly work with lighting for when taking pictures of my nails. I get so impatient since it's pretty hard taking pictures of your own hands. I dont know how others are doing it. 0_0

Nyx 'em up!

Sometime last month, I did a pre-order for Nyx round lippies from Digital Traincase. Picked it up yesterday before work and I was so excited to go home to check them out.

These are what I got...

Perfect, Thalia, Tea Rose, Fig, Spellbound

The lighting of my room is not good at all. The colors on the lips look a bit toned down compared to its actual color.

Perfect. The darkest shade that I got..and Id say this is my natural lip color.

*for some reason I cant delete one of these duplicate photos. keeps getting an error. I guess Id have to keep both. :D

Thalia. I like the name Thalia because its in the Percy Jackson books! Haha! Yeah, thats why I got this but anyway..it's a lighter shade than Perfect. lighter gearing towards being pink.

Tea Rose. I arranged the colors in a way that its dark/brown-ish to pink. This is right on the middle of these five. Id say this is my fave as it suits my dark skintone most.

Fig. On to the pinkish side. I love this one too. Makes me look fairer. I love how its color looks natural on my skintone eventhough its pink.

Spellbound. The most daring of all the colors. It's wearable but for a person who wants an "au naturale" look, id have problems on when i'll wear this shade. It's a very pretty pink but it kinda screams look at me!! which totally repels my personality. I'd probably use this on those "I-want-to-be-spontaneous" days..or when I'm doing concept shoots ( concept shoots: i play dress up, put on a bit of make up and take a picture of myself! haha.. yeah, im crazy like that.) Oh, and I used Burt and bees repleneshing lip balm with pomegrenate oil before applying spellbound because after those 4 colors I think my lips are drying up. ** additional note, since this is the last one i tried, i let it stay on my lips and after a while the color doesnt look loud anymore. we'll see if i can wear it on a normal day

I know there are already lots of post about Nyx lipsticks. I must admit I only learned about them through beauty bloggers and everyone have nothing but high praises for these tubes. I would have to say, I now know what the hype is all about with them. The packaging is cute,the colors are pigmented, lots of shades to choose from, cheap, nondrying (i think the only reason why my lips dried out when swatching them was because i tried all five colors in 15 minutes). Overall, its an affordable product that works, and its pretty too!

That's about it. I enjoyed this post and I enjoyed my purchase!
